RIGHTS, OR RUIN? There's a major controversy in Chile. That South American country is considering the legalization of same-sex civil union -- AND opposite-sex divorce. Both are prohibited in the predominantly Catholic country. But the reforms are in no way a done deal. The church and other conservative elements are trying to stop the changes, arguing the moves would corrupt Chilean society. The fight has, at times, been an ugly one-- with the Catholic church being accused of sponsoring a misleading ad campaign, linking divorce in the United States to rising drug addiction and violence.
